nou Systems, a Hemisphere IDIQ awardee, is pleased to announce the contingent opening for a Chief Software Engineer who will join our Engineering Services team in El Segundo, CA and become part of our rapidly growing technology company operating in missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, biotechnology, and space control marketspaces.

Responsibilities:

• Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs application software
• Conducts analysis and collaborates with subject matter experts in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for information storage, processing, presentation, manipulation, display, or reporting
• End product may be special use, customized, or commercial software
• Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops autonomous services, desktop applications, web applications, scripts, and utility programs
• Ensures software standards are met
• Exhibits an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness. Apply and/or develop highly advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts.
• Participates with senior management to establish strategic plans and objectives
• Plans R&D programs and recommends technological application programs to accomplish long-range objectives
• Applies advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. Contributes to development of new principles and concepts
• Recommends/makes decisions on administrative or project work matters and ensures effective achievement of program, project, or organizational objectives

Basic Qualifications:

• You must have a BS/BA along with a minimum 18 years of relevant experience or Master's degree along with a minimum 16 years of relevant experience or PhD along with a minimum 15 years of relevant experience
• Proven experience in Software Engineering (Java, Python, C++, or other Object-Oriented based languages), Kubernetes, AWS, Azure Cloud, etc.
• You must have an active TS clearance, with SCI eligibility
• You must be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for this position
