#18254- Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (Sr. SDET)

Qualitest is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (Sr. SDET) to join our team on a fully remote basis. This position is ideal for candidates who are passionate about automation testing and excited about driving quality in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The role will involve working with cross-functional teams to automate manual testing processes and improve testing efficiency for key applications.

Responsibilities:

• Lead Test Automation Initiatives: Oversee the planning, estimation, development, and execution of test automation strategies.
• Design & Development: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using best practices and industry standards.
• Automation of Manual Testing Scenarios: Convert manual test scenarios to automated test scripts to improve test coverage and reduce manual effort.
• DevOps Integration: Implement automated testing within a DevOps architecture, ensuring seamless integration with continuous delivery pipelines.
• Defect Investigation & Resolution: Utilize strong problem-solving skills to investigate and document defects, and collaborate with teams to drive their resolution.
• Agile Champion: Advocate for Agile best practices and processes, ensuring that test automation aligns with DevOps principles and improves overall efficiency.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the evolution of more intelligent and predictive testing approaches through automation.
• Collaborate & Communicate: Regularly communicate project status to stakeholders, proactively identify concerns, and provide solutions to challenges.

Must-Have Skills & Experience:

• Proficiency in Java & Selenium: Strong experience with Java and Selenium for test automation.
• Experience with Jira & Confluence: Familiarity with Jira for issue tracking and Confluence for documentation and collaboration.
• Manual to Automated Test Script Conversion: Demonstrated ability to translate manual test scenarios into automated tests effectively.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Banking Applications Knowledge: Familiarity with banking applications, payments platforms, and testing of financial systems (SWIFT, CHIPS, ACH) is a plus.
• Experience with DevOps Tools & Practices: Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing in a DevOps environment, and Agile methodologies.
