Position Description:
deciBel Research is seeking an experienced System Engineer in Colorado Springs, CO to perform the following duties on a large scale DoD weapon system development program:
Target salary range: $120,000 - $160,000. This target salary represents an estimated range for this position based on experience, degree and other factors.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree is System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required

Position Description:
deciBel Research is seeking an experienced System Engineer in Colorado Springs, CO to perform the following duties on a large scale DoD weapon system development program:
- Analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications
- Analyze system requirements and leads design and development activities
- Guide users in formulating requirements, advise alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies
- Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology
- Incorporate new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations
- Develop technical documentation, including system architecture and system design documentation
- Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans
- Interact with the Product Owner regarding System Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts
- Responsible for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the System Engineering area of responsibility

Experience Requirements:
- Fifteen (15) years' experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, complexity is required
- Four (4) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
Special Skills Desired:
- Experience in the use of Atlassian tools
- Automated CI/CD Pipeline configuration experience, including setup, scripting, configuration and maintenance
- Experience with Jenkins
- Experience with full software lifecycle: specification, design, implementation, integration, debug and maintenance required
- Experience with JIRA/Confluence
- Experience with safety critical and nuclear critical software development (DO-178C, AFMAN 91-119, DO-330, etc.)
- Familiarity with a structured process driven software development environment including peer reviews of all work products, using a revision control system, defect tracking and build release practices required
- Experience with Git products
