Description

The Director of Operations is a vital member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) at Imaging Associates LLC, a premier outpatient imaging center serving Anchorage, Eagle River, and the Mat-Su Valley. This on-site role provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure efficient operations, continuous process improvement, and exceptional Guest experiences across all imaging modalities (MRI, CT, PET, X-Ray Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, and Mammography). The Director of Operations collaborates closely with the CEO, SLT, Lead Technologists, and Breast Care Coordinators to oversee human resources, compliance, facility management, contract administration, policy development, and accreditation efforts. By driving data-driven process improvements and facilitating effective executive and clinical meetings, the Director ensures Imaging Associates aligns with the strategic goals of its joint venture between Providence Alaska and Alaska Radiology Associates.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field; Master's degree (MBA, MHA) required.
  • Experience:
    • 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, preferably in diagnostic imaging or outpatient services.
    • 3-5 years of experience in process improvement, human resources, or facility management in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, PMP, or similar process improvement certification preferred.

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear. The employee frequently walks, uses hands to handle or feel, and reaches with hands and arms. The employee occasionally stands, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision.
  • Work Environment
    • The employee will primarily work in a temperature-controlled office environment with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment. During facility visits, the employee may be exposed to extreme cold weather conditions, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, or loud noise from imaging equipment.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • Exceptional leadership and collaboration skills to work effectively with the CEO, SLT, Lead Technologists, and clinical staff.
    • Expertise in process improvement methodologies, performance metric evaluation, and regulatory compliance, including ACR accreditation processes.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume, Guest-focused environment.
    • Proficiency in contract negotiation, vendor management, and budget oversight.
    • Excellent communication skills for facilitating executive and clinical meetings and presenting to the board.

    • Ability to travel between Anchorage, Eagle River, and Palmer locations. Occasional travel outside of these areas may be necessary.
