Your Impact
As a Permitting Manager, you are a subject-matter expert with deep permitting knowledge across infrastructure and electrical deployments. You'll own permitting strategy, guide customers through regulatory complexity, and influence cross-functional teams (engineering, legal, compliance) to accelerate projects and ensure alignment with local authority requirements. This role requires independent judgment, creative problem-solving, and process design. You'll manage risk across a national portfolio, foster agency relationships, and serve as a key advisor during project planning and execution.

What You'll Do
Location: US based Axon hub sites (Atlanta, Boston, Denver, San Francisco, Scottsdale, or Seattle metro areas)
Reports to: Senior Manager, Professional Services
- Authority Engagement: Build strategic relationships with AHJs; anticipate regulatory shifts and influence local buy-in.
- Cross-Functional Influence: Guide and advise project, legal, and engineering teams on permitting impact.
- Process Ownership: Design and implement permit tracking, compliance tools, and reporting systems for enterprise scalability.
- Project Integration: Align permitting timelines with deployment schedules and proactively identify blockers.
- Regulatory Expertise: Interpret and apply complex code frameworks (NEC, NFPA, zoning, environmental) to real-world deployments.
- Risk Navigation: Assess and resolve complex permitting risks before they impact field operations.
- Strategic Permit Leadership: Own end-to-end permitting operations and optimize processes across jurisdictions.
- 8+ years managing permits for large-scale infrastructure, utility, or construction projects.
- Background in public-sector or enterprise deployments, including government compliance.
- Demonstrated success influencing internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, zoning, and environmental regulations.
- PMP, CAPM, ICC Permit Technician, OSHA 30, NFPA certification.
- Proficiency in GIS, CAD, blueprint review, and tracking systems (e.g., Smartsheet).
- Proven experience navigating multi-jurisdictional permitting environments.
- Strong experience in multi-agency, multi-jurisdictional environments.
