At National Trade Supply, the eCommerce Pricing Strategy & Analytics Manager plays a vital role in fueling our growth and delivering a better experience for our customers. By uncovering insights through data and turning them into actionable pricing strategies, you'll help optimize margins, drive customer acquisition, and strengthen retention. To be successful in this role, you will need a high level of analytical proficiency, expertise in price testing, and the ability to interpret pricing data to inform strategic decisions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure pricing strategies align with market demands, customer behaviors, and overall company goals. In addition to developing these strategies, you will also oversee the execution of pricing adjustments and continuously monitor their impact to drive ongoing optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

Pricing Strategy Development
  • Design and implement dynamic pricing strategies based on data insights to optimize margins, customer acquisition, and retention.
  • Lead the development of pricing models that reflect customer segmentation, market trends, and competitive landscapes.
  • Lead the execution of pricing changes and work with relevant teams to ensure seamless implementation.

Data-Driven Decision Making
  • Utilize data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, BI tools) to analyze go-to-market effectiveness, monitor performance, and recommend adjustments.
  • Conduct price testing to assess the impact of pricing changes on sales, profitability, and customer behavior.
  • Partner with marketing to translate high-level strategic questions into data-driven solutions and compelling narratives.
  • Build an analytics and insights culture by communicating its value to the business stakeholder community.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing data & analytics implementation roadmap.
  • Provide oversight for the design, development, and operational support of the data & analytics environment, including the lifecycle of data requirements, modeling, architecture, analytics, and tools.
  • Champion a culture of data literacy, enabling the marketing team to make informed, data-driven decisions.

Price Optimization
  • Manage and optimize personalized discount strategies for different customer segments, ensuring competitive and profitable pricing.
  • Monitor competitor pricing and adjust strategies accordingly to maintain market competitiveness.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to understand customer needs, feedback, and promotional strategies, ensuring alignment with pricing plans.
  • Provide strategic input for pricing decisions related to new product launches, promotions, and seasonal sales events.

Monitoring & Reporting
  • Track and report on the performance of pricing strategies, using key performance indicators (KPIs) like conversion rates, revenue, and profit margins.
  • Regularly update leadership on pricing strategy performance and drive recommendations for improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years in a pricing or analytics role required - ideally within an e-commerce or digital-first environment.
  • Extensive experience using data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Preset, Power BI, GA4, Amplitude) to build dashboards and drive insights.
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying, manipulating, and analyzing large datasets.
  • Experience with Python (e.g., pandas, NumPy) for data analysis is a plus.
  • The ideal candidate should demonstrate a high level of self-awareness, including a comprehensive understanding of their strengths and weaknesses, and how they can leverage their skills to contribute effectively to the team.

Salary Description

$110,000 - $125,000 Annually
