Position Summary:
The Associate Manager, Clinical Science is a member of the Translational Science Self Care team dedicated to the development and implementation of clinical and claim strategies as well as the operational execution of clinical programs and initiatives. The role includes active scientific contributions to cross-functional project teams, supporting a variety of products and initiatives within multiple therapeutic areas, with a focus on pain and allergy. The role may also support other need states as necessary. The role includes participation in planning, organizing, and executing clinical strategies in support of new product development projects and claims across therapeutic areas in a matrixed environment working with cross-functional partners from clinical operations, statistics, data management, R&D, and marketing. This role provides scientific leadership for clinical studies within assigned need states, with a focus on interventional Phase 2 through 4 studies.

Requirements:
Education: A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Health Sciences (with 3+ years of clinical science/medical affairs experience); Advanced Degree (MSc, PharmD, PhD, MD, etc) is strongly preferred.
Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience in OTC/pharmaceutical industry or equivalent (preferably in R&D, Medical or Clinical affairs).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
o Strong communication skills and the ability to lead and manage a cross-functional team in a matrix environment is desirable
o Experience performing literature searches and developing written scientific summaries and/or scientific publications is highly desirable.
o Self-motivated, well-organized, and decisive, with a curious mindset.
o Critical thinking, capable of independently forming, and advocating for, sound scientific opinions and strategic decisions.

- Collaborates closely with internal and external stakeholders to design and execute studies to deliver on organizational and regulatory objectives.
- Serves as a clinical scientific expert responsible for planning studies and representing clinical study strategy.
- Performs background research (literature and previous studies) to inform study design and clinical decisions.
- Communicates clinical strategy and results to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences.
- Analyzes, interprets and presents results of clinical research
- Supports development of regulatory documents as needed for applicable studies
- Ability to work within a regional framework and have interactions with global counterparts across functions
