Soliel is currently looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our growing team.

Clearance: Secret

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with government clients and contractor team
• Provide customer support in the installation, maintenance, and servicing of computer systems, programs, software, and operations to ensure that systems are functioning according to design specifications
• Provide technical support, diagnose, and resolve system problems
• Participate in the development of new systems or tailor commercial products to meet user requirements
• Develop documentation to describe system requirements and use
• Develop and implement complex system requirements
• Design software tools and subsystems to support software reuse and domain analyses, and manage their implementation
• Manage software development and support using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, other accepted design techniques, and CASE tools
• Review existing programs and assist in making refinements, reducing operating time, and improving current techniques

Required Skills:

• Active SECRET clearance
• Bachelor's degree or higher in IT, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or another related technical field
• 8+ years of relevant IT engineering experience
• Extensive prior experience in CentOS and Linux server system administration
• Ability to evaluate performance results and recommend major changes affecting short-term project growth and success
• Ability to function as a technical expert across multiple project assignments
• Ability to work and adapt quickly to a fast-paced and demanding environment
• Knowledge of DoD Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs)

Preferred Skills:

• Experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining Red Hat Certificate Server software
• Experience in:
  • PKI, Certificate Authority
  • Active Directory, GPO Windows
  • ESXi/ VMware
  • Standalone Linux
  • Active Directory
  • Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
  • Systems Administration tools (SolarWinds / MS SQL / Splunk / etc)
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Ability to work independently with little supervision
• Ability to work in a team
