We are a prestigious AmLaw200 firm with a robust presence throughout Florida, seeking to expand our expertise in Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits through the addition of a seasoned Partner. This high-profile position is aimed at dynamic leaders with substantial expertise in handling complex matters related to defined benefit plans, defined contribution plans, 401k plans, and profit-sharing plans. Salary: Compensation is very competitive

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal consultations and strategic advice on various executive compensation and benefits matters.
  • Design and implement sophisticated benefits plans for clients across various sectors.
  • Lead negotiations and prepare intricate legal documents concerning executive compensation.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure a holistic approach to client solutions.
  • Conduct rigorous legal research to stay ahead of trends and changes in laws governing employee benefits.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships by providing exceptional services and upholding the highest legal standards.
  • Mentor associate lawyers and legal staff, setting expectations and standards for departmental excellence.

Minimum Position Qualifications:
  • Must have at least 8 years of experience in executive compensation and employee benefits law.
  • JD from an accredited law school and a current member of the Florida Bar, or in the process of becoming one.
  • Exceptional drafting and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to handle complex legal issues in high pressure environments.
  • Demonstrated track record of successful client relationships and project management.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team, managing deadlines and multitasking effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Portable book of business is highly preferred.
  • Specialization in tax law related to employee benefits and executive compensation.
  • Experience in leading a team of attorneys and legal assistants.
  • Public speaking experience and ability to conduct seminars and workshops.
  • Recognized as a thought leader in the field through publications or speaking engagements.
