POSITION SUMMARY

Beacon is seeking a highly motivated Finance & Accounting Manager sitting in the Eden Prairie, MN location to provide support at both our Minnesota and Massachusetts businesses. This position is responsible for leading a team of senior accountants in daily accounting, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations and effective financial management. This role will prepare and manage annual budgets, create forecasts, support accounting audits, develop financial cost savings models, analyze data, support payroll, fixed assets, cash, AR, AP and inventory. This will be a working manager role, with the right candidate willing to be hands-on analyzing raw data, finding trends, building models and providing recommendations based on findings. This role will be working across multiple departments to ensure the business meets financial targets and metrics.

This role will be expected to be physically present on site, consistent with other business leaders.

Starting Salary Information: $115,000

Key Responsibilities:
Supervisory Responsibilities

This role will lead and manage the two senior accountants in Eden Prairie as well as supporting our Finance team in Boston. This includes overseeing day-to-day activities, development and growth, and performance management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead finance & accounting support within the Beacon Group of businesses, including possible future acquisitions
• Ensure timely completion of the monthly, quarterly and annual parent company reporting
• Collaborate with other departments within the organization to create annual budgets
• Build and maintain financial models and monthly forecasts
• Provide financial analysis and reports on key performance indicators like inventory, cash, AR and AP
• Lead and collaborate with different departments to drive cost improvements across the business
• Develop a standard template and process for tracking cost reductions - both forecast and actual results
• Work with Sales on creating and analyzing Point of Sale and on hand inventory data from our distributors
• Develop and lead special projects around burden rates, consignment, PPV and other areas
• Lead the general ledger close including account analysis and reconciliation review
• Review and approve accounting for payroll, credits and collections, accounts payable and fixed assets
• Manage the preparation of audit materials needed to facilitate internal and external audits
• Provide pricing guidance and support customer quoting process including impact of tariffs
• Develop models to analyze inter-co manufacturing opportunities with other internal businesses
• Occasional travel may be necessary

Job Qualifications
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
• Experience: 10+ years of progressive Finance and/or Accounting experience
• High integrity and sensitivity to confidential information
• Ability to work effectively across all functions of the organization
• Excellent communication, problem solving, and analytical skills
• Exceptional analysis skills using Excel
• Advanced level PC based skills - MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Strong strategic and proactive thinking
• Combination of hands on and vision of future capability
• Proven mentor and team developer
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with quickly changing priorities to ensure superior stakeholder satisfaction

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

• This is a full-time, on-site position
• Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm, but does allow for some flexibility
• It may be necessary to work more than 40 hours per week at times to produce the required results

Salary Description

$115,000 starting salary
