What you will do
The Quality Scientist III will review analytical testing of raw materials, packaging components, bulk work in process, finished products, marketed product stability, cleaning validation and protocols.
The successful candidate will prioritize complex review in the Quality Laboratory (e.g. Impurities) and will be certified to train others. The Quality Scientist III will also own activities related to method and/or cleaning validation and have supervisor designate signing abilities as required.
They will ensure compliance with internal specifications, regulatory and corporate policies, and work with business partners to support the investigation of quality events. They will also identify and implement continuous improvement projects, troubleshoot instrumentation, and update quality documentation, as required.
The Quality Scientist III is expected to support the Quality Laboratory with a broad base of analytical experience and expertise, including execution of large site wide projects.
Key Responsibilities
Independently perform review of bulk work in progress, finished products, marketed product stability with a focus on complex impurity testing
Represent the Quality Lab for large site projects including change control ownership
Mentor Quality Scientists including complex impurity review.
Support equipment troubleshooting
Own laboratory investigations as required
Act as delegate for Laboratory Supervisor, as required
Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Internal/External Audits
Opportunity to function as Laboratory co-op supervisor, as required
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
B.Sc in Science or related field
8+ years of related experience in a laboratory setting
Strong attention to detail
Understanding of quality control principles and laboratory procedures (USP, GMP, GDP)
Desired Qualifications
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently
Strong digital literacy with focus on Labware LIMS, Biovia LES, and SAP system fluency
Strong technical writing experience
