ABOUT ALM & LAW.COM: ALM is a global leader in specialized business information for the legal, financial, and professional services industries. Our flagship platform, Law.com, alongside powerful solutions like Law.com Radar and Legal Compass, helps in-house legal teams stay ahead of change, benchmark against peers, and navigate emerging risks.

We're looking for a Client Engagement Director to be the trusted advisor and day-to-day contact for a portfolio of corporate clients, ranging from Fortune 500 giants to fast-growth disruptors. Your work will be vital to making sure clients are using, expanding, and getting real value from our products. This role is perfect for someone who knows how in-house legal departments work, understands how different roles across the legal function think and operate and can match product features to business needs. You'll be a connector, linking product use to job outcomes, usage data to opportunity, and client insight to internal teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive Adoption: Help corporate legal departments activate and embed our tools into their workflows across functions like litigation, compliance, legal ops, and executive leadership.
  • Track & Influence Usage: Monitor product engagement trends, identify gaps or underuse, and design proactive outreach to re-engage or expand touchpoints.
  • Map the Org: Learn how each client is structured, who uses what, and what success looks like for each stakeholder, from Legal Ops to GCs.
  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the face of ALM post-sale, running check-ins, trainings, and insight reviews that drive deeper engagement and create internal advocates.
  • Partner with Sales: Collaborate with account managers and sales teams to surface expansion opportunities and reduce churn risk through engagement insights.
  • Support High-Impact Moments: Lead walkthroughs, executive business reviews, and other strategic conversations that tie usage to client value and outcomes.
  • Advocate for Clients: Capture feedback and user behavior to influence product development and editorial priorities internally.

Qualifications:
  • 3-7 years in a customer-facing role: customer success, legal tech, consulting, or legal operations strongly preferred
  • Experience working with or supporting in-house legal teams; comfort working across functions and titles
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to adjust style based on audience (legal ops vs. execs vs. litigation leads)
  • Product curiosity: you enjoy learning tools deeply enough to teach others how to get value from them
  • Analytical thinking: you're drawn to usage metrics and patterns and know how to turn them into action
  • Background in law, compliance, research, or legal journalism is a plus
