Job Summary
This is a leadership position and a member of PSE&G's Gas Field Operations management team. Provide leadership and strategic direction in the daily operational issues of the District's Gas Distribution and Appliance Service activities. Support the development/deployment of the Gas Operation's business and financial plans including strategic workforce deployment; maintaining proper balance between tariff and non-tariff services; managing the business to ensure maximum profitability, including the growth of competitive services; overseeing the completion of all Regulatory work while adhering to schedule and costs; maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction; directing the construction of facilities that support new business and system reliability consistent with the Gas Operations business plan; monitoring and developing plans for performance improvement in safety, productivity, customer relations and reliability. Oversee the District's environmental activities and ensure a safe work environment in accordance with the PSEG Health & Safety System. Manage employee relations issues, resolve industrial relations matters and ensure professional/technical development of the department's associates. Oversee the District's obligations to ensure compliance with both state and federal regulations. As a District Manager for gas field operations, you may be asked to work from one of the other locations within the Gas Operations' service territory depending on business needs. As an employee of PSE&G, you should be aware that during storm/outage restoration efforts, you may be required to perform functions different from normal operations and your regular work schedule. Required:
BS/BA in Engineering or Business Management OR 4 yrs equivalent work experience.
5 years relevant Utility work experience, including 4 years work experience in gas field operations. Knowledge of Utility Operations, e.g. Electric, Gas and Customer Operations.
Demonstrated leadership, managerial and technical skills with experience in change management, construction, maintenance, financial analysis, work planning competencies, and in labor relations negotiations/issue resolution.
Proficient in the utilization of workforce management systems, e.g. ACES, SAP, DWIMS, and MWMS
Demonstrated teamwork, interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with all levels in the organization. Demonstrated ability to develop and retain a diverse workforce
Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Strong planning and organizational skills
This is a safety-sensitive position. D.O.T. testing is required
Must possess and maintain a US valid driver's license with a satisfactory safe driving record.
