Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Distribution Management Team drives product sales and placement through global partnerships with ~500 distributors, dealers, and agents. Collaborating across nearly every business unit, the 600-person team-spanning sales, pricing, marketing, and customer care-contribute to 15% of TE's total revenue, all while delivering Extraordinary Customer Experiences.

We're seeking a Senior Manager of Distribution Sales to lead our Western U.S. sales team. This high-impact role offers visibility with senior leadership and the opportunity to grow market share while developing a team of motivated Distribution Market Managers (DMMs) and Branch Account Managers (BAMs). In this role you will drive strategic partnerships, execute key initiatives, and deliver on growth targets across your assigned territory. Ideal candidates bring deep channel/distribution expertise, strong relationship-building skills, and a customer-first mindset. The chosen candidate will reside in one of the following States: Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, or Wyoming.

Responsibilities

  • Increase TE's POS and market share by targeting strategic and broad market accounts
  • Lead, coach, and develop a professional sales team through performance assessments, feedback, training, and motivation to drive sales growth, pipeline expansion, and opportunity conversion while supporting key KPIs
  • Hire, onboard, and strengthen the team by guiding priorities and overseeing effective business reviews with distributor branches
  • Manage regional execution of distributor corporate plans and align TE priorities with local distributor leadership, including Area Directors and General Managers
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributor regional and branch leadership to support channel growth and account development
  • Ensure distributor branches are trained, supported, and equipped to deliver results aligned with TE strategic goals focused on AFG training and resulting in opportunity identification and conversion
  • Drive retention and conversion of TAM to DTAM accounts and manage POS activity while growing penetration through new designs and market share gains
  • Provide market intelligence, identify growth opportunities and competitive threats, and implement solutions to remove barriers and enhance team productivity and business outcomes
  • Identify and escalate issues impacting the ease of doing business with TE, while driving process improvements to eliminate operational barriers, strengthen channel relationships, and enhance team productivity

What your background should look like:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or Engineering required
  • 12 or more years' experience in sales management - Preferred experience in Electronics Distribution with OEM or Electronics Distributor
  • Minimum 5 years of channel management experience
  • Extensive knowledge of the electronics components/systems industry at a corporate and branch level
  • Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills, with the ability to deliver formal presentations to senior staff
  • Ability to negotiate with executives at all levels of an organization is a must
  • Self-directed individual who can analyze market needs and deliver strong results through sales process
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively build cohesive and effective teams

COMPENSATION
Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $147,500 - $221,200 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
