Job Summary
Supervises and coordinates daily operations of the Cardiology Department in collaboration with department leadership to ensure efficient workflow and competency of staff. Responsible for quality improvement program development, implementation, and monitoring. Oversees recruitment, orientation, employee file maintenance, scheduling, performance reviews, and competency assessments. Serves as a technical expert in equipment and is expected to perform all duties of a registered Echocardiographer.

Required Qualifications:
- Completion of an AMA-accredited Echocardiogram program (minimum one year)
- National certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, or certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International, or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum 2 years of recent full-time experience in Echocardiography
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in a related healthcare field or certification with a recognized sonography credentialing body
- Membership in a professional organization such as SDMS, SVT, AIUM, or ASE
- Prior supervisory or management experience.
