Business Development & Marketing Director - North Jersey Area

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Development and Marketing Director to drive growth and brand presence across the Greater Piscataway, NJ area. In this leadership role, you will oversee our field marketing and business development teams, focusing on lead generation, brand awareness, and territory expansion. You will develop innovative marketing initiatives, direct outreach strategies, and team leadership programs to achieve aggressive growth goals.

You'll collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, and Executive Leadership to ensure marketing efforts are aligned with sales strategies, building a powerful pipeline that fuels company revenue growth.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead Field Marketing and Canvassing Teams - Recruit, hire, train, and coach canvassers and business development reps, building a high-performing team focused on lead generation and brand presence.
  • Drive Market Expansion - Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to grow brand awareness and generate qualified opportunities across key neighborhoods and communities.
  • Performance Management - Set clear KPIs for lead generation, community engagement, and marketing initiatives. Monitor performance, coach team members, and manage individual growth plans.
  • Innovative Campaign Design - Create and implement community-based marketing campaigns, events, and partnership programs to boost visibility and generate leads.
  • Territory Management - Analyze Piscataway's market demographics and customer trends to identify new growth areas and maximize outreach efforts.
  • CRM and Data Optimization - Leverage CRM tools to track filed metrics, lead flow, and conversion rates. Use data insights to continually refine strategies.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration - Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure smooth handoffs, messaging consistency, and strategic alignment.
  • Brand Representation - Act as a community ambassador, representing the company at local events, networking functions, and strategic partnership meetings.
  • Continuous Innovation - Stay up to date on marketing trends, business development tactics, and canvassing best practices to keep the team sharp and agile.
  • Weekly Communication - Run weekly stand-ups and reporting sessions to align the team, highlight wins, and tackle any barriers to success.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience leading canvassing, field marketing, business development, or direct-to-consumer outreach teams.
  • Proven success building and scaling lead generation programs that resulted in significant revenue growth.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of recruiting, training, and retaining high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, motivational, and coaching abilities.
  • Experience with CRM systems and lead tracking/reporting tools.
  • Analytical and data-driven, with the ability to pivot strategies based on results.
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills and a growth mindset.


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • OTE: $120,000 - $180,000
