Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
We are seeking a skilled Network and Systems Administrator to manage and support our organization's IT infrastructure. This role is responsible for maintaining the stability, security, and efficiency of our network and systems environments. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain network hardware (firewalls, routers, switches) and system software (servers, virtualization platforms, backups).
Monitor network and system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
Administer Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and cloud services.
Manage and support network security tools including firewalls, VPNs, endpoint protection, and intrusion detection systems.
Perform regular system and security audits.
Maintain disaster recovery and backup procedures.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
Ensure compliance with IT policies, best practices, and cybersecurity standards.
Provide technical support to end-users and collaborate with other IT staff to resolve complex issues.
Research and recommend upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment.
Maintain documentation for network and system configurations, processes, and service records.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
3+ years of experience in network and systems administration.
Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VPN, VLAN, DNS, DHCP).
Experience with Windows Server, Office 365, virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud services (Azure).
Familiarity with security best practices, firewall management, and endpoint protection.
Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified, Cisco CCNA).
Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work after hours or weekends for system upgrades or emergencies, as needed.
Compensation:Competitive wage commensurate with experience. Excellent benefit package including company paid health, dental and vision insurance with a company-funded retirement plan.
Salary Range $75,000 - $90,000
Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, overtime when applicable, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
