Job Description
The primary goal of this position is to identify, evaluate and implement new / developing technologies and intellectual property that supports Ventures' commercialization strategies. These opportunities will primarily be initiated within Mayo, then further developed through external means.
Qualifications
A PhD degree in Business or Biological Science, or a Masters degree with two years experience in the healthcare industry, or a BA/BS degree with five years experience in the healthcare industry is required. A candidate with a background in immunology, biochemistry, molecular biology, cellular biology, or tissue engineering is strongly preferred. Incumbent must have a demonstrated understanding of complex medical technologies, and be adept at recognizing new technology opportunities or unmet medical needs. Must demonstrate the skill to manage projects that develop technology-based solutions to advance medical care. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with a variety of different people with diverse backgrounds. Requires strong project management skills, time management skills and the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
