Why You'll Love This Role:
- Lead mechanical component design and fabrication to enhance equipment performance
- Work with cutting-edge CNC programming and CAD/CAM software, including MasterCAM, GibbsCAM, Fusion 360
- Solve real-world manufacturing challenges through testing, troubleshooting, and redesigning mechanical systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine manufacturing processes and improve efficiency
- Analyze parts performance using meters, voltage, and temperature measurements
- Evaluate tool designs to ensure precision and functionality
- Devise and fabricate new mechanical components for industrial machinery and measuring instruments
- Operate manufacturing tools-drill press, grinders, lathes-to modify and test parts.
- Conduct equipment performance tests to investigate potential improvements.
- Record test results and recommend design modifications.
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, CNC programming, or machining
- Proficiency in MasterCAM, GibbsCAM, Fusion 360, Haas, Mazak
- Hands-on experience with CAD software (SolidWorks) and industrial control systems
- Strong troubleshooting skills with amplifiers, calipers, gas welding, brazing, cutting apparatus
- Willingness to work in a dynamic machine shop environment-where innovation gets dirty
- Four 10-hour days, plus optional overtime on Fridays for facility cleanup (totaling 45-50 hours/week)
- Ability to work in a dirtier manufacturing setting-embracing the reality of machine shop work
- Some flexibility available to adjust to a five 8-hour day schedule if needed
