A well-established company is seeking a Director of Purchasing to lead all procurement efforts related to medical supplies and equipment. This role involves sourcing high-quality products, managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely, cost-effective purchasing to support operational needs. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of the medical supply chain, strong negotiation skills, and a commitment to maintaining compliance and quality standards.

Responsibilities Include:

• Procurement Leadership:
  
  • Oversee the entire purchasing process for medical supplies and equipment, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the operational needs of the organization.
• Vendor Management & Relationship Building:
  
  • Source and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating favorable terms and pricing.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
• Contract Negotiation & Compliance:
  
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure adherence to contract terms and conditions.
• Inventory & Supply Chain Management:
  
  • Manage inventory levels, ensuring an adequate supply of medical products without overstocking.
  • Work closely with other departments to forecast future needs and align purchasing strategies.
• Cost Management & Optimization:
  
  • Ensure purchasing efforts are cost-effective while maintaining product quality.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement in the procurement process.

Ideal Qualifications:

• Proven experience in purchasing and procurement, preferably in the medical supply industry.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Deep understanding of the medical supply chain and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain optimization is a plus.
