The salary offered will take into consideration an individual's experience level and qualifications. Position: We are seeking a Vice President to join the Prime Services Sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Self-motivated and driven producer focused on building and maintaining relationships with hedge funds
- Must have strong understanding of the hedge fund landscape and furthermore a network which they can lever to develop new prime brokerage business
- Work with hedge fund clients, prospects and institutional investors to originate new PB business and meet the clients' needs
- Expected to collaborate with the broader equities and markets franchise for meeting the client's needs and expanding the relationships and be responsible to cross-sell within the Jefferies' Equities and broader Markets franchise
- Develop client pitches, organize team coverage and individual client sales strategy
- Organize and attend events, meetings and conference calls
- Develop client coverage plans and drive execution of business strategy; collaborate with the broader equities franchise
- Coordinate with global Origination teams to deliver best in class service to client base
- Collaborate within the Jefferies Equities franchise on marketing presentations for key clients and hedge fund prospects
- Gain a working knowledge of the hedge fund players and the complex strategies they employ
- Collaborate with the product team; the broader equities franchise; broader markets to deliver best in class coverage for our clients and grow our footprint
Qualifications
- CRM, Excel, PowerPoint, VBA & Access Database skills
- Strong data manipulation and reporting skills
- Experience and versatility to work with clients of varying profile and size
- Ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions concisely
- Strong client relationships, in particular with hedge funds deploying long/short equity strategies
- Prior Prime Brokerage Sales experience and strong prime product understanding
- Bachelor's degree required
- Strong understanding of the resourcing requirements for Prime Services success and proven track record or successful internal advocacy to meet client resource requirements
- Knowledge of Equities, Prime Brokerage and Outsourced Trading is desirable
- Strong team player and understands the importance of teamwork
- Strong communicator and presentation skills
- Confident in a client setting and client-facing role
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness is essential as well as multi-tasking. Meeting deadlines and being punctual with assignments is key
- Strong understanding of professional ethics and regulatory environment
- Licenses Required: 7 & 63
