Caterpillar's Global Business Services (GBS) Record to Report (RTR) organization has an open Accountant position in the Sales/Cost of Sales (SCOS) group. In this role, you will be responsible for providing timely and accurate financial record keeping, reporting and analysis for U.S. import and export sales within multiple ERP systems.

What You Will Do:
  • Support monthly legal entity financial closing tasks while maintaining financial records in accordance with GAAP and organizational standards including supporting a strong compliance culture.
  • Support new initiatives impacting revenue recognition processes such as Modern Order Management/Commercial Order Optimization (MOM/COO), Single Order Consolidated Invoice (SOCI) and continued efforts to increase velocity in our Equipment Processing Centers (EPC).
  • Be a trusted business partner and advisor to our Accenture and RTR Center of Excellence (COE) business partners in Bangalore, India.
  • Develop system and process expertise in order to effectively explain financial results, analyze and resolve outstanding issues when found and support our business partners both within and outside of the GBS RTR organization.


What You Have:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Accounting: Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes.
  • Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
  • Financial Reporting: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.

Summary Pay Range:
$95,640.00 - $143,520.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
