This dual-role blends strategic business development with technical estimating to support CSI's continued success across the Denver Metro area. Key Responsibilities
Sales / Client Development
- Generate new business and drive revenue growth by building relationships with mechanical contractors, engineers, developers, and facility owners.
- Promote CSI's automation solutions, including integration and energy efficiency upgrades.
- Drive recurring revenue through the promotion of service contracts to new and existing customers.
- Prepare and deliver tailored proposals, presentations, and bids.
- Maintain a strong pipeline using Salesforce CRM to forecast and manage opportunities.
- Influence purchasing decisions by articulating ROI, energy savings, and long-term value.
Estimating / Technical Responsibilities
- Read and interpret plans, specs, and RFPs to develop project scopes and cost estimates.
- Perform take-offs and calculate labor, material, and subcontractor costs for automation systems.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations to ensure alignment of design and budget.
- Prepare accurate and competitive bid packages for submission.
- Support post-sale project handoff, maintaining clear communication with project management and customers.
Key Deliverables
- Achieve quarterly/annual sales and margin targets.
- Submit timely and accurate estimates for small-to-large scale BAS projects.
- Deliver client satisfaction through a consultative, solutions-based approach.
- Maintain long-term strategic relationships with high-volume clients.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent industry experience).
- 5+ years of experience in Building Automation and HVAC Controls sales.
- Demonstrated track record of winning sales and generating new business.
- Solid estimating experience in controls or MEP trades.
- Technical understanding of BAS platforms (Honeywell, Tridium/Niagara, etc.).
- Proficient in Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and estimating tools
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Creative, resourceful problem-solver with high attention to detail.
