For California, the base pay range for this position is $106,000 to $149,000 (highly experienced).

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Engineer to join the Edwards Lifesciences' Pilot Operations team and contribute to the development and implementation of the team's mission and vision.
How you will make an impact:
- Executing continuous operational improvements without compliance risks and following Lean/Six Sigma approaches, methodologies, and techniques.
- Supporting deployment of Lean capability building blocks in the lean transformational plan.
- Supporting Digital projects that will improve visibility of data at all TIER levels.
- Executing the transformation of Lean lines.
- Driving value improvement through cycle time studies and optimization & waste elimination.
- Leading 6S program initiatives and transformations within Pilot areas.
- Providing mentorship to Yellow Belt and Green Belt candidates and supporting Certification programs within Pilot.
- Developing training materials and training employees in Yellow Belt and lean tool sets (8 Type of waste, SMED, Standard work, line balancing, VSM, Pull System, TPM).
- Supporting Idea Program within Pilot and monitoring progress and generating reports for Tier 3 meetings.
- Mentoring technicians and technologists in continuous improvement methodologies (A3 management / kaizens / Problem solving / lean training).
- Overseeing manufacturing support tasks; giving instruction to technicians on lean analysis and requests; training technician and providing feedback.
- Working seamlessly with cross functional team members within and across other sites.
- Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
What you'll need (Required):
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Scientific field with 4 years of previously related industry experience OR Master's degree in Engineering or Scientific field with 3 years of previously related industry experience Required.
What else we look for (Preferred):
- Lean practitioner and certification(s).
- Six Sigma related certifications are a plus.
- Class II and Class III medical device manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Applies engineering methods (e.g., Six Sigma and LEAN methods) for problem solving and continuous process improvement.
- Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office suites including Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated use of Design for Manufacturability, Industrial Engineering and lean experience leading to manufacturing efficiency improvement.
- Knowledge of cGMP, EHS guidelines, FDA guidelines, QSR, FMEA, statistical techniques, Supplier Quality and Process Validation (IQ, OQ, PQ and PPQ).
- Interpersonal skills including problem solving, effective communication, conflict and relationship management.
- Solid project management and team leadership skills leading to substantial cost savings.
- Self-motivated with tangible solid contribution, a calculated assertive risk taker and change agent.
