We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Managing Director to lead our Equity Private Placement practice within the Investment Banking Division. This is a rare opportunity to drive significant growth in a high-profile leadership role, leveraging your deep industry expertise, market relationships, and strategic acumen to elevate our private placement platform to the next level.

What You Will Lead:
  • Command the Equity Private Placement franchise - lead strategy, origination, execution, and team building with full autonomy and visibility from the top
  • Drive transformative capital raises for breakthrough companies in high-growth sectors across tech, healthcare, consumer, and fintech
  • Leverage your network of premier venture, growth, crossover, and institutional investors to deliver exceptional outcomes for clients
  • Build and scale a high-performance team of bankers and deal professionals under your leadership, with access to extensive firm resources
  • Be the trusted advisor to C-suite executives, board members, and founders navigating complex capital decisions
  • Lead with influence, representing Wedbush at premier events, family office summits, private capital conferences, and on industry panels
  • Collaborate at the highest level - work directly with the executive team to integrate private placements across our investment banking, equity research, and institutional sales ecosystem


Experience and Skills
  • 10+ years in equity private placements at a leading investment bank or boutique; extensive deal sheet with marquee transactions
  • Deep, trusted relationships with the private capital ecosystem - venture, growth equity, crossover, family offices, and strategic investors
  • Track record of closing complex capital raises, often with multi-party syndicates
  • Strategic mindset with a strong commercial instinct and a bias for execution
  • FINRA Series 79 license required
  • MBA, CFA, CPA or equivalent advanced credential preferred
  • Passion for innovation, market disruption, and entrepreneurial leadership

The reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $250,000. Colleagues may be eligible for additional, discretionary incentive compensation based on the colleague's and the firm's performance.
