EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Good written and verbal communication skills, sensitive to semantics and ability to discuss projects using high-level, non-technical terms. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
REASONING ABILITY
Experience at working both independently and in a team-orientated collaborative environment with the ability to understand both technical intricacies and also see the big picture ramifications. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability required.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Requirements Gathering & Analysis (25%)
- Collaborate with functional area system users and/or business analysts to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals. Some projects may require a lead role, other projects may be part of a team.
- Identify and develop course of action to resolve and minimize existing system issues & downtime.
- Independently review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving parts or all of the systems. The outcome of this analysis will provide key action plans to further leverage these systems and gain greater business value from these systems.
- Works with functional area system users and/or business analysts in defining new system deliverables and critical success factors that define positive outcome criteria and help measure the overall success of a system development effort.
- Communicate & translate programming design specifications with functional area users and business analysts to ensure the technical solution meets/exceeds business requirements.
Research & Development (25%)
- Collaborate with functional area system users and business analysts in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow.
- Leverage industry resources (Internet, vendors, partners, knowledge bases, etc.) in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications.
- Conduct research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts
Programming & Analysis (50%)
- Work to resolve production system issues and minimize system downtime efficiently and effectively
- Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
- Create systems models, specifications, diagrams, and charts independently or in collaboration with business/system analysts.
- Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support.
- Develop/write code and provide documentation for developed code
- Provide guidance and/or instruction to junior staff members.
- Drive system effectiveness by leading and/or contributing on upgrades in Oracle and/or other applications.
- Provide new application development and ongoing support for the entire application footprint including: ERP/Oracle systems, Customer Relationship Management systems, Warehouse Management Systems, Order Fulfillment Systems, Operations, Distribution, Warehousing, and Business Intelligence Reporting.
- Use Advanced development tools and environments such as Toad for Oracle/SQL Developer, JDeveloper, BI Developer to create new user driven programs, packages, procedures, workflows, and communication models that enhance user & system
- Proficient in SQL Plus and PL/SQL. Good understanding of Java and Pro C/C.
- Interpret electronic Technical Reference Manuals (eTRMs) in the Oracle EBS space.
- Interpret and develop system languages such as Java, C, .NET, ANSI SQL, Active Server Pages (ASP), or others
- Exceptional communication skills

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university
- Ten or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, including an understanding of ERP relational table structures and ERP architecture.
- Additional technical knowledge in the following areas desired:
- Web Services
- Server technology (AIX and Linux)
- Oracle EBS table structure and architecture
- Oracle Forms and Reports
- ADF/OAF
- .NET
- SQL Server
- Proven experience in developing and implementing large complex systems is required
- Extensive knowledge of including but not limited to:
- Warehouse management processes
- Integration with Oracle Shipping Execution
- Conveyor control systems
