Lockheed Martin (LM) is looking for an resourceful Systems Engineer to become a member of the Systems Engineering and Integration Team.

As a Systems Engineer, you will:
Develop subsystem product specifications Requirements/Verification Baseline
Support Trade Study activities
Collaborate with the SEIT organization to create end-to-end integrated solutions
Support a value driven Systems Engineering team and facilitate design evolution in a systematic and thoughtful way
Support the development of proposals and test plans for FBM programs
Develop and maintain test documentation, including test procedures and reports
Execute tests, including handling of ordnance, and support mission operations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful testing and integration of systems
Analyze test data and identify areas for improvement
Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.

YOU WILL TYPICALLY HAVE:
1 to 4 years of professional experience with a Bachelor's degree.

Basic Qualifications
Knowledge in Systems Engineering concepts and processes
Working knowledge or experience with requirement identification, decomposition, allocation, and verification
Working knowledge or experience working with various engineering disciplines (i.e. mechanical, electrical, safety, test, etc.) to develop requirements specifications
Knowledge of DOORS or DOORS Next
Experience in test engineering, preferably in a defense or aerospace environment
Strong understanding of test principles, including test planning, execution, and reporting
Must have a Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

Desired skills
Writing requirements documentation and coordinating document release through approval process
Experience supporting Trade Studies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent social skills, and ability to create consensus among peers while forming relationships with team members
Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker with the ability to select and apply appropriate systems thinking skills to solve problems and implement constructive change
Experience developing requirements for space or missile systems
Experience with FBM programs or similar missile defense systems
Knowledge of industry standards, including MIL-STD-461 and DO-178C
Prior Certified Test Conductor (CTC) or equivalent in a test engineering environment
Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Experience with handling ordnance
Active Top Secret clearance

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $70,100 - $123,625. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $80,600 - $139,840. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
