eCommerce is a key digital enabler to Caterpillar's aftermarket parts and services growth strategy. Delivering on the Caterpillar brand promise of premium, high-quality solutions in all supported languages is an important element in accelerating the development and deployment of Caterpillar's expanded capabilities in eCommerce.

As the Localization Manager at Caterpillar, you will be responsible for overseeing the Translations process within Caterpillar's digital parts purchasing portfolio. Accuracy and speed are critical pieces of the eCommerce journey as this area provides customers with the right information so they can quickly and accurately identify the part they need to purchase.
As a member of the eCommerce Discovery Product Management Team, you will lead and execute initiatives to increase accurate translations utilizing Artificial Intelligence and other innovative tools & solutions. Through an iterative process, you will look for ways to continuously improve the translations process and translations accuracy by partnering with Caterpillar's internal Translations Team, Caterpillar's Regional Distribution Teams, and our global Caterpillar dealer network. You will present recommendations to developers and business unit partners, scope and execute improvement projects, and test and validate enhancements completed by the development team.

Software Release Management: Knowledge of strategies, practices and tools for managing versions and distribution of software products and enhancements; ability to evaluate and improve release management practices and tools.
Change Control: Knowledge of the processes and procedures by which a change is identified, evaluated, approved, monitored and documented; Ability to manage changes in the production environment and processes effectively

What You Will Do:
- Key decision maker for all translations across eCommerce portfolio including parts.cat.com and Cat Central mobile app.
- Shape translation strategy and gain alignment from stakeholders on a comprehensive translations approach.
- Responsible for the vision of what we translate, what language we translate in to and the tools we use to translate.
- You will need to consider the big picture and brainstorm new solutions for our we translate our content. Once a solution is agreed upon, you will see that vision through execution
- Present to global regional distribution, dealer, and business industry partner teams on all translations related initiatives through demonstration of strong communication skills.
- This role will lead the relationship with the internal translations team, challenging the team to provide higher quality translations and seek better solutions for translating our site.
- Own and manage yearly translation budget, including compiling a monthly forecast.
- Oversee operations aspects of translations including tracking and reporting of ticket issues.
- Ability to analyze and visualize translations performance to drive adoption and future improvements.
- Responsible for the vision and roadmap for how customer facing content needs to transform to support the future of translations.
- Clearly identified and documented business requirements for all recommended improvements by conducting research, documenting existing gaps, and prioritizing business needs all in the context of customer voice.
- Work closely with development teams to track delivery, complete testing and validation, and ensure maximum value of the completed feature is delivered at the release.
- Work closely with analytics team to identify gaps and areas of translation improvement.
- Educate Caterpillar partners on the importance of accurate and specific translations.
- Responsible for prioritizing and communicating all translations related initiatives - ensure the most important and time sensitive items are getting prioritized and meet previously agreed upon commitments.
- Partner with the eCommerce Content Specialists, Caterpillar Translations Services Team and PIM teams to enable a seamless customer experience.
- Partner with global distribution teams and Caterpillar Dealers around the world to evaluate new requests and business outcomes.
- Provide direction to support staff on day-to-day translations activities. This includes coordinating and assigning work and tracking tasks to support translation initiatives.

Considerations For Top Candidates:
- Four-year Bachelor's degree preferably in computer science, information systems, marketing, communications, engineering or related field OR equivalent working experience
- Mid Level experience in digital product management
- Project Management experience
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence tools
- Demonstrated ability to communicate appropriately through excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong accountability, planning, tracking, and organization skills
- Ability to work well within multiple teams including the business side, development, and field facing arm of the organization
- Superb communication, presentation, storytelling, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- Ability to consider multiple variables of a decision and prioritize accordingly in a fast-paced environment
- Highly developed interpersonal skills to deal with sensitive, emotional or potentially controversial situations
- Experience using Google Analytics or similar web reporting platform to extract insights and actionable data
- Experience within web platforms
- Understanding of SEO and SEM
- Knowledge of customer journey mapping and eCommerce design practices
- Experience working in Agile development while simultaneously managing multiple priorities
- Familiarity with Product Information Management (PIM) or Content Management Systems (CMS)
- Demonstrated ability to empower and influence external teams
- Good knowledge of Caterpillar policies, standards, procedures, and a broad understanding of Caterpillar's organization
- Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps
- Product Owner certification (CSPO from Scrum Alliance) or knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
