We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Director of Cross-Product Marketing to join our growing team. Reporting directly to the VP of Product Marketing & Thought Leadership, this pivotal role will be instrumental in driving our company's growth by crafting compelling cross-product narratives, establishing the company as a thought leader in the industry, and defining and leading new category creation efforts. This leader will be the architect of our integrated messaging and narrative for Slack, ensuring clarity and alignment across all marketing functions.
The ideal candidate will possess deep B2B marketing expertise, a proven track record of building messaging and keynotes with executives, collaborating effectively with PR, AR, brand and core product marketing teams, and a strong technical aptitude. They will be an expert storyteller, capable of translating complex product capabilities into clear and compelling value propositions that resonate with our target audience.

Responsibilities:
Thought Leadership & Narrative:
- Working closely with PMM leadership, create the strategy for thought-provoking content, including articles, blogs, white papers, presentations, and social media engagement, to establish expertise and drive brand awareness for Slack.
- Represent the company and Slack at industry events, conferences, and webinars, delivering compelling presentations and engaging in meaningful discussions.
- Collaborate with internal experts and external influencers to develop and amplify thought leadership content and messaging related to Slack.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for thought leadership initiatives and to refine the narrative for Slack.
- Work closely with analyst relations to identify and define new market categories that align with our product offerings and strategic vision.
Cross-Product Messaging & Storytelling:
- Develop and articulate a cohesive Salesforce + Slack cross-product narrative that highlights the integrated value of our solutions.
- Craft compelling strategic storylines, including keynote narratives that resonate with key customer segments and drive market adoption.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy that supports the cross-product narrative and thought leadership goals.
- Oversee the creation and management of content for the company blog, ensuring regular updates and alignment with messaging priorities.
- Drive the development and organization of a robust resource library on the web, featuring valuable content such as white papers, case studies, and product documentation.
- Analyze content performance metrics to optimize content strategy and identify areas for improvement.
Cross-Functional Marketing Strategy:
- Lead the development and execution of cross-functional marketing strategies including an annual GTM calendar.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with overall marketing objectives and supports the cross-product narrative.
- Define content pillars and themes that resonate with target audiences and drive engagement.
- Identify and leverage various content formats, including blogs, articles, videos, infographics and other trending formats.
- Optimize content for search engines and social media platforms to maximize reach and visibility.
Strategic Leadership & Collaboration:
- Serve as a key strategic partner to the VP of Product Marketing & Thought Leadership, contributing to overall marketing strategy, thought leadership, and planning.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
Technical Acumen:
- Develop a strong understanding of our products and the underlying technology.
- Work closely with product marketing to effectively translate technical features into customer-centric benefits.
- Work closely with product development teams and product marketing to ensure alignment on GTM timeline, product roadmap and messaging.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with a focus on product marketing, brand, content or GTM strategy.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful cross-product marketing initiatives.
- Strong understanding of GTM strategies and launch methodologies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on action and results.
- Technical savvy with ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts.
- Experience working closely with brand and content marketing teams.
- Experience in AI technology and Saas products preferred.
