You will be an Environmental Engineer Staff in Camden, AR, supporting our Missiles and Fire Control team in the ongoing management and enhancement of environmental, safety and health (ESH) programs, regulatory compliance, and to provide technical support to plant personnel and functions. Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is a recognized designer, developer, and manufacturer of precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries. MFC develops, manufactures, and supports advanced combat, missile, rocket, manned and unmanned systems for military customers that include the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, NASA, and dozens of foreign allies.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Environmental Engineer Staff, you will be responsible for developing and delivering contractual and regulatory data deliverables; collecting and delivering various ESH metrics; developing organizational ESH initiatives; providing customer support to employees and programs; performing ESH program assessments, investigations and environmental incident reviews; and the development of program enhancements relative to overall ESH compliance. Must be able to work on-call and overtime on occasion and may be required to travel infrequently.

Responsibilities include:
Interpreting federal, state and local laws, regulations, and orders as they apply to environmental practices
Manage compliance with applicable federal, state and local environmental regulatory requirements
Prepare and manage environmental permits, registrations and renewals
Managing compliance with air emission permit requirements and regulatory requirements
Managing compliance with NPDES Storm Water permits and regulatory requirements
Collecting of water quality samples
Managing compliance with RCRA Hazardous Waste regulatory requirements
Tracking and managing pollution prevention and resource reduction programs
Developing, administering and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with key environmental statutes and regulations
Conducting inspections, completing corrective actions, and maintaining documentation
Investigating and resolving any compliance issues.
Developing and implementing programs to increase employee awareness and knowledge of compliance policies
Auditing and evaluating current policies, procedures, and documentation for compliance
Managing program performance in assigned areas through effective communications, project management, and development of continuous improvement initiatives.
Providing technical direction and problem-solving techniques to address emerging issues
Collecting and presenting ESH metrics

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives ("ATF") background check to obtain approval to be an "employee possessor" (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
Advanced knowledge and competency with environmental regulatory and consensus standards such as EPA and ADEQ
Extensive experience managing Federal and State environmental programs, including Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, RCRA, and general facility environmental compliance
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, consultants and regulatory agencies
Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team
Initiative to lead compliance efforts and drive results. Must be self-driven and able to plan and execute work without direct supervision from senior management
Computer proficiency
Ability to obtain/maintain Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship

Desired skills
Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited university in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline
Experience in and supporting manufacturing, and experience working directly with managers and employees to address issues
Incident investigation and data analysis skills.
Demonstrated customer-oriented approach and project management skills
Knowledge of Arkansas RCRA, air emission and stormwater regulations
Experience with ISO 14001, lean manufacturing, and continual improvement

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $99,700 - $175,835. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
