Production Specialist - Toponymist (Arabic Linguist) Senior Position Requirement: MUST BE A US CITIZEN ACTIVE TS/SCI CLEARANCE REQUIRED EXPERIENCE WITH PERFORMING THIS ROLE AT THE NATIONAL GEOSPATIAL INTELLIGENCE AGENCY REQUIRED Skills and Experience (Required):
Required Utilize Arabic linguistic skills and regional expertise to analyze Middle East issues and provide valuable insights to support intelligence analysis. Develop and carry out efficient research plans in compliance with NGA procedures, making use of a variety of databases and resources to compile pertinent data. Collaborate with customers ensuring Open Source (OS) collection requirements have been met accurately as well as timely, providing proactive research updates and recommendations for improving collection methods. Engage and deliver presentations at both internal and external working groups, as well as meetings within the Open Source (OS) community, offering valuable insights and expertise. Input open source research activities in appropriate mechanisms for production tracking and metrics gathering, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. Assist analysts from the Analysis and Source Directorate from various locations with on-site and co-located research support to promote cooperation and information exchange.
Desired Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Linguistics, Middle Eastern Studies, or International Relations. Proficiency in Arabic is essential. Proficiency in examining Middle East matters and acquainted with local dynamics and cultural complexities. Strong research and analytical skills with ability to evaluate sources gathered against requirements and deliver information in prescribed formats. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as a willingness to work well with a variety of stakeholders and teams.
