Job Description Summary: The Senior Program Configuration Manager will apply their prior experience towards developing, documenting, and executing a new, modernized strategy for conducting formal Configuration/Change Management activities in a Model-Based Systems Engineering environment for a program concerned with redesigning and producing a significant Government guidance system asset.
This person will research and recommend a suitable commercial CM/PLM software tool, leveraging to the extent necessary the features of Draper's existing infrastructure consisting of Dassault Systmes Enovia 3D Experience and various other business enterprise tools. Lastly you will interface with internal staff from Design Engineering, Digital Engineering, Production, Mission Assurance, and Programs, as well as with customer staff and subcontractors in the planning and execution of the CM function. Provide technical assistance and support to customers, suppliers, and employees in resolving issues.
Leads and identifies improvements of manufacturing, process, and product efficiency to reduce nonconforming products.
Ensures products meet the organizations and customers quality and product integrity requirements.
Provides analysis and expertise throughout the inspection process.
Leads a cross function team in the determination of root cause of failures. Identifies when failure analysis is necessary, along with providing recommendations of the corrective measures.
Analyzes data to identify trends in product quality or defects with the goal of mitigating and preventing recurrence and future defects.
Drive solutions to complex problems with limited direction
Actively mentor less experienced engineers
Performs other duties as assigned. Skills/Abilities
Ability to work on cross functional teams
Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles
Familiarity with Quality Standards ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100.
Expert knowledge and skills in process integration.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to prioritize tasks.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good interpersonal skills to communicate clearly.

Requires a bachelor of Science degree an Engineering discipline. Experience
Requires 5-7 year's experience in quality engineering or other engineering role.
