Job Title: AV Technician (Secret Cleared)
Location: Ft. Meade, MD (travel costs covered)
Duration: 6-7 months contract
Pay Rate: $25-35/hr. (Based on Experience) + $80/day in per diem Summary:
The AV Technician is responsible for the installation, setup, testing, and maintenance of audio-visual systems. Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and troubleshoot AV systems, including displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, control systems, video conferencing equipment, and cabling.
Perform wiring, mounting, and equipment placement per design specifications and schematics.
Conduct testing and calibration of installed systems to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction.
Maintain accurate records of work completed, including wiring diagrams, equipment inventory, and project updates.
Work closely with project managers, designers, and other technicians to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Adhere to safety protocols, industry regulations, and company policies during all installations. Qualifications:
Proficiency with AV equipment and tools (e.g., Crestron, Extron, Biamp, AMX).
Knowledge of signal flow, networked AV systems, and cabling standards (e.g., HDMI, CAT5e/6, fiber optics).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Active DoD Secret clearance
