Job Description Spectrum Healthcare Resources is excited to offer a potential career opportunity for an Inpatient Licensed Clinical Social Worker at the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System . Job Requirements: * Licensure: Must possess a current, full, and unrestricted LCSW license from any state, territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia. * Education : Minimum of a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from a nationally accredited school. * Experience : At least two years of current experience in the field of social work. * Credentialing and Privileging : Must undergo credentialing and privileging as per VA standards; services cannot commence until these processes are complete. * Medical and Immunization Requirements: Must meet health and immunization requirements, including screenings for tuberculosis, rubella, and vaccinations for influenza, among others. * Training : Required training includes: * CPR and basic life support (BLS) certifications. * Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification for some roles. * Mandatory VA-specific training on privacy, security, and various healthcare protocols. Job Responsibilities for Inpatient LCSW * Perform comprehensive assessments of patient social, emotional, and environmental needs. * Plan and implement care strategies that address identified needs, especially focusing on the transition from inpatient care. * Document all assessments and interventions in the patient's medical record. * Coordinate with healthcare teams to provide consistent patient care. * Address potential cases of abuse or neglect and consult appropriate services as required. * Assist in the coordination of discharge planning to ensure continuity of care post-hospitalization. * Provide crisis intervention and support for patients and families in distress. * Facilitate family meetings and interdisciplinary discussions about patient care goals.
