Duties * You will ensure that all users have the requisite security clearances, access authorization, awareness, and training of their cyber security responsibilities for U.S. Government Agency under their purview before being granted access to those systems. * You will initiate protective or corrective measures under supervision when a cyber-security incident or vulnerability is discovered. Ensure that processes are executed for proper reporting and cleanup of each occurrence. * You will maintain current and accurate Risk Management Framework (RMF) assessments, authorizations, and documentation throughout each fiscal year and execute regular, schedule and unscheduled assessments. * You will ensure authorized users have and understand a process for reporting all cyber security related events, potential threats, and vulnerabilities to the ISSO. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. * This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code Information Systems Security Manager, proficiency level 722 the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and DON policies. * Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing. * This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. In addition to demonstrating the four competencies above, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DS-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Demonstrating knowledge in Risk Management Framework (RMF) implementation and execution; 2) Evaluating information systems to ensure system security is in compliance (system hardening requirements); 3) Managing multiple projects and efforts to effectively implement cybersecurity compliance. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Master's or equivalent graduate degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, graduate education that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.

2 full years (36 hours) of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, graduate education that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
