Duties * You will participate in the integration of cyberspace operations in exercise design and building cyber-related events. * You will serve as a command/organizational representative at conferences, briefings, exercises, planning evolutions, and meetings. * You will review standing strategic and operation level war plans and support cyberspace plans and prepare revisions or recommend revisions/updates by appropriate action agency. Failure to possess and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. * A Counterintelligence Polygraph is required, and a non-disclosure agreement must be signed. * This is a Drug Testing Designated Position (TDP). A pre-employment drug test is required, and the position is subject to random drug testing. * Must be suitable to be screened and approved to serve in a billet with Special Technical Operations and/or Special Access Programs access and/or requirements. * This position is not telework eligible * May be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployment during crisis situations to perform mission essential function as determined by management, to include movements within the AOR. * Temporary duty (TDY) travel may be required up to 50% of the time which may involve the use of commercial and/or government aircraft. * You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases. * Shift work, irregular tours of duty, and/or extended duty may be required. * This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code (332), proficiency level (Advanced) the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies. Qualifications You are required to have information technology (IT) related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT related experience demonstrating this competency include Evaluating and recommending the adoption of new IT security methods that enhance capabilities. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT related experience demonstrating this competency include: Using advanced verbal and written communication techniques to produce finished products and present briefings. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, and responds appropriately. IT related experience demonstrating this competency include: Providing mentoring and guidance to junior team members. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT related experience demonstrating this competency include: Providing input for the development and refinement of cyber operations objectives, priorities, strategies, plans, and programs. In addition to your experience demonstrating the four competencies above, you are required to have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly relates to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by: Planning and developing a cyber operation plan to satisfy cyber operations requirements within a specifically defined geographical or functional area of responsibility This position is within the Work Category PROFESSIONAL at Work Level SENIOR, Series and Grade GG 2210-13. Some groups in this category, however, may have a positive education requirement that cannot be replaced with experience, such as a requirement for a particular type or level of an academic degree Additional information This position is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1599f. A required 3-year probationary period for new federal government appointment is required. Several vacancies may be filled.
