Position Summary ANSER is seeking an International Arms Control Treaties and Agreement Analyst to support the Air Force Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategic Deterrence and Nuclear Integration (AF/A10). You will provide analytical and subject matter expertise to support the International Treaties and Agreements Branch. Experience in arms control treaties and agreements to include but not limited to the New START Treaty, Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, Prohibition on Nuclear Weapons, Chemical Weapons Convention, Biological Weapons Convention and Conventional Arms Control. Day to Day Responsibilities: * Provide guidance for the Air Force (AF) on international arms control treaties and agreements. * Monitor all AF activities and field any questions relating to applicable treaties and agreements and AF policy for implementation and compliance. * Provide historical background, current and future treaty implications for current projects, and professional opinion(s) on treaty-related matters. * Provide written recommendations for documents representing AF positions on all aspects of AF policy relating to applicable treaties and agreements and professionally brief these recommendations to a wide audience from AF senior leaders to base Treaty Compliance Officers (TCOs). * Conduct research; draft responses to requests for information; review policy documents; develop papers, briefings, talking points, recommendations, and other deliverables; and brief findings to AF senior leaders as needed. Required Qualifications: * Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS SCI within six months. * Bachelor's degree in international relations or a related field of study. * 3+ years of related experience supporting international programs and implementation and compliance. * Demonstrated knowledge, understanding, and experience with implementation and compliance activities of applicable treaties/agreements. * Demonstrated knowledge of Air Staff, JS, and OSD organization and responsibilities with respect to specific treaty/agreement requirements. * Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills; ability to work in a team environment. * Knowledge of strategic nuclear doctrine, deterrence theories, and national security strategies and policies. * Skilled at research, analysis, and writing; experience authoring reports, assessments, responses to requests for information, talking points, briefings, and other products. Preferred Qualifications: * Knowledge of the Air Staff, Joint Staff, and Office of the Secretary of Defense organization and responsibilities for nuclear weapons and nonproliferation. * Experience interacting with and briefing SES and Flag Officer level leaders. * Experience working across the interagency and conducting outreach to DoD, USG, think tanks, academia, and other organizations to promote partnerships, research, and education. * Experience developing policy and strategy for major National or DoD programs. * Experience conducting advanced research into national security concepts and strategies. * Experience planning meetings, conferences, wargames, and tabletop exercises. Full Time Salary Range $90,000 - $120,000 US.
