Junior IT Project Manager with Security Clearance

ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Junior IT Project Manager to join our team in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia (Northern) DMV area . In this role you will c reate work packages tied to milestones, identify dependencies, and schedule work . You will ensure tasks are assigned and completed on time; as well as track and report on project milestones and deliverables. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Define scope, objectives and deliverables within the network, security and cloud operations environment * Assist in identifying and assessing risks related to network, security, and cloud operations; Assist in developing risk mitigation strategies; Monitor risks throughout the project. * Work with stakeholders to prioritize operations tasks and engineering projects; Provide routinely scheduled reports to senior managers on task and project performance * Work closely with the PMO team to maintain visibility of all tasks and projects; Provide updates on network, security and cloud operation policies, SOPs, and Best Practices to the PMO team * Coordination of procurement, installation and maintenance of network, security, and cloud systems, ensuring compliance with project requirements * Support the development of documentation on policies, SOPs, and Best Practices; Provide status updates and other project information and options as requested . Manage change requests related to network, security, and cloud operations; * Assess the impact of changes on the project; Utilizing Change Control Boards (CCBs) to manage and control any project-related changes, ensuring effective and efficient project delivery . Define and monitor project quality standards; Conduct quality control checks Minimum Qualifications: * 1 + year of experience as a Technical Project Manager and a B achelor's degree in information technology , computer science, finance, business management, or related degree * Knowledge and experience applying project management best practices * Experience leading small project teams * Experience on projects involving Agile and DevOps processes * Understanding of and some experience overseeing implementation of ITIL practices Preferred Qualifications: * A Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification * An Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification * Experience with Change Control Boards and change management * Experience working with ServiceNow Clearance Requirements: * Must have a current/active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI. * The ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD suitability is required prior to starting this position. Physical Requirements: * Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% * Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer * The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
