Description:
ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented VMware Administrator to join our team onsite in Norfolk, Virginia. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Design, deploy, and configure VMware vSphere servers
* Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize VMware infrastructure performance
* Manage VMware vCenter Server, including resource allocation, and performance tuning
* Plan and execute VMware ESXi host upgrades, patches, and security enhancements
* Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate VMware infrastructure with storage, network, and other systems
* Develop and maintain documentation for VMware infrastructure configurations, procedures, and best practices
* Provide technical support and assistance to end-users and other IT teams as needed Minimum Qualifications: * High School Diploma
* 5+ years of experience in managing VMware vSphere environments
* Proficiency in VMware vSphere, vCenter Server, and ESXi administration
* Strong understanding and experience with virtualization concepts, technologies, and best practices
* Experience with storage, networking, and server hardware technologies
* Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
* Strong communication and collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications: * VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification preferred
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Clearance Requirements: * Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance Physical Requirements: * Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
* Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
* The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
* Up to 25% travel required or as needed.
