Job Title: Sr. Spec, Sys Administration- TS/SCI Required Job Code: 20146 Job Location: Palm Bay, FL Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked - and have every other Friday off Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated System/Network Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and security of both Windows and Linux system infrastructures. This role involves a blend of network management, consistent system patching, robust system hardening, and system/software deployment automation. Essential Functions: * Administer and support daily operations of Windows and Linux servers, and Cisco networking devices ensuring system reliability, data integrity, and availability.
* Manage network configurations to optimize performance and ensure security compliance.
* Implement regular system updates and patches, minimizing vulnerabilities and maintaining compliance with industry standards.
* Harden systems by configuring and maintaining security measures to protect sensitive data and infrastructure.
* Develop and maintain scripts and tools for deployment automation, striving for increased efficiency in our operational processes.
* Collaborate with engineering teams to understand program requirements and deliver tailored technical solutions.
* Communicate complex technical issues and strategies to management and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
* Ability to support limited offsite travel, overtime work, and have the ability to lift and move equipment (20 LBS). Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
* Six years of experience as a System/Network Administrator managing an enterprise level domain.
* Current/Active TS/SCI Security Clearance with ability to obtain Poly Preferred Additional Skills: * Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, networking protocols, PowerShell, and security best practices. * Two years of experience supporting LINUX (RedHat REL 7/8, Centos, Ubuntu).
* Experience with VMware or similar virtualization software.
* Experience with ansible.
* Experience with Commvault or similar backup system software.
* Experience managing systems under the NIST Risk Management Framework.
