NetOps Specialist Mid with Security Clearance

TEKsystems is seeking a NetOps Specialist Mid (Network Monitoring) to support a government customer on site in New Orleans. This position sits within the NOSCR which serves as a Watch Office for the Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN) Reserve Sites across the country. This person will be tracking outages, resolution, and solutioning with site technician for Layer 1 Connectivity Projects and Problem. Qualified candidates will need an active DoD Secret Clearance, CompTIA Security+ and willing to obtain CCNA if they do not already have it. Responsibilities: - Monitor the infrastructure and network, responding appropriately to alerts and events.
- Respond to incidents from triage through resolution, including escalations, where appropriate.
- Respond to infrastructure repairs, including directing remote activities to maintain operational effectiveness for services.
- Provide root cause analysis documentation in accordance with Government procedures.
- Provide data center support where appropriate.
- Document daily shift activities in appropriate reporting and ticketing tools and ensure proper pass down of any outstanding issues.
- Provide incident notification to Government representatives. Requirements:
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Valid CompTIA Security+ certification
- 5+ years of experience networking (NOC, watch office, etc.)
- CCNA will be required for the position; candidates can be granted a 6 month waiver to obtain the certification
