Description:
Duties * Perform operational work, conduct preventive maintenance and maintain security of IT information systems for the Directorate of Public Works. * Implement prescribed internal controls to prevent fraud, waste, abuse, loss, or misappropriation of funds for all IT related assets. * Serve as the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) responsible for monitoring Directorate's engineering automation support contractor's performance. * Recommend new or proposed hardware, applications, data management, and utility software for above baseline systems. * Network Interface, serve as the directorate's primary point of contact and interfaces with the garrison IMO, the Network Enterprise Center (NEC), Army Cyber Command, and Defense Information Security Agency (DISA). Requirements Conditions of Employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. * A secret clearance is required throughout this appointment. * IA Baseline Certification--CompTIA Security+ CE (or higher) at the time of entrance on duty, must provide copy of certificate when you apply for this position. * Certification or recertification at the level of IAM-II as outlined in DoD Publication 8570.01-M within one year of the entrance on duty date. * Position may require incumbent to obtain and maintain Information Assurance Technical Level III Certification, and Security+ certification. * This position is identified as Mission Essential which may require you to work or remain at work during an emergency situation or when inclement weather has curtailed operations (e.g., threat to the facility, natural disaster, delayed reporting). * The employee may be required to work overtime and/or other than normal duty hours, which may include night evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. * Required to attain and maintain Contracting Officers Representative (COR) training certification within 120 calendar days of entrance on duty. * Temporary duty travel (TDY) may be required up to 5%. Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Specialized Experience; Have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes the following. Assist with implementation of the Risk Management Framework Program to review, implement and ensure compliance for information systems. Verify that all Industrial Control Systems are certified and accredited with required regulations and policies. Monitor the organizations engineering contractor's performance as the Contracting Officer Representative to ensure contracts complies with requirements.
