Location: Hybrid remote and on-site in Norfolk, VA Duration: 6 month contract to permanent hire
Compensation: $60 - $80/hour W2 depending on level of experience Requirements:
Active Secret Clearance
Database administrator expertise in one or more of the following: Oracle 19 or higher, RMAN, Active DataGuard, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Oracle Security Patching, Unified Auditing and Audit Vault. Experience with Oracle AWS is ideal.
Experience with PostgreSQL is preferred.
Familiarity with DoD Information Assurance (IA) requirements and practices. Responsibilities:
Support Oracle databases in development and production data centers.
Establish the needs of users and monitor user access and security.
Monitor performance and manage parameters to provide fast query responses to front-end users.
Install and test new versions of the database management system and support security patching as required.
Assist in writing database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions for the data dictionary.
Control database access, permissions, and privileges.
Develop, manage, and test backup and recovery plans.
