Responsibilities As an IDMS Mainframe Database Administrator (Part Time) you will have the opportunity to do the following: Database Management: Manage IDMS databases, ensuring optimal performance, integrity, and security. * System Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance tasks, including patch updates and configuration changes.
* Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement effective database backup and recovery strategies.
* Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve database issues in a timely manner.
* Performance Tuning: Monitor database performance and conduct tuning to optimize efficiency.
* Collaboration: Work with application developers and system administrators to contribute to database design and system architecture.
* Compliance and Security: Ensure databases comply with industry standards and security protocols.
* Capacity Planning: Anticipate and plan for future database capacity requirements.
* Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures. Qualifications * 4+ years' experience as an IDMS Database Administrator with broad experience with legacy versions of Mainframe Server platforms.
* Experience and certification with COBOL a plus.
* DoD Secret Clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret.

The salary range for this position is USD $80,100.00/Yr. - USD $133,700.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
