Responsibilities As a Technical Writer with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following: * Produce clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation including user manuals, product guides, online help, and API documentation
* Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, and product managers to gather and understand technical information
* Analyze product features and functionality to determine documentation requirements
* Create and maintain information architecture for technical content
* Produce meeting materials including agendas, minutes, and action lists
* Edit, proofread, and revise existing documentation
* Ensure consistency in style, tone, and formatting across all documentation
* Incorporate user feedback to improve documentation quality and usability Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, Computer Science, or related field
* 3+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in the software or technology industry
* Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail
* Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and explain them clearly to non-technical audiences
* Proficiency in documentation tools and Microsoft Office 365
* Familiarity with markup languages (e.g., HTML, XML) and content management systems
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
* Active SECRET Clearance and US Citizenship Pay Transparency Statement AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $54,300.00/Yr. - USD $90,700.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
