Medical Administration Specialist with Security Clearance

Job Description Spectrum Healthcare Resources is excited to announce a potential opportunity for a Medical Administration Specialist to join our team in providing outstanding administrative support for the Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) in San Diego, CA. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, information management, or a related field. * Three (3) years of experience in project management supporting healthcare initiatives. * Preferred but not required: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. * Strong knowledge of military medical services, TRICARE, and civilian healthcare systems. * Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, MHS GENESIS, CHCS, and medical administration software. * Understanding of DoD, DHA, and accreditation standards (HIPAA, AAAHC, JCAHO). Duties and Responsibilities: * Oversee and monitor the review, coordination, and tracking of Virtual Healthcare referrals and VA-DOD sharing referrals. * Supervise Virtual Health (VH) Case Managers and manage administrative workflows. * Develop and provide executive-level briefings on program initiatives to DHA and local leadership. * Perform business development review for Global Teleconsultation Platform (GTP) expansion and technical integration. * Advise on information technology projects affecting clinical operations and provide recommendations for optimization. * Conduct quality management audits to ensure compliance with HIPAA and military healthcare policies. * Train clinical and administrative users on system functionality and best practices. * Perform identity access management (IAM) for VH platforms, handling user accounts and permissions. * Support telework and alternative work schedules for TO contractors in coordination with government leads. Work Schedule & Hours: * Workdays: Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. * Shifts: 8-hour shifts within standard duty hours of 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (local time zone). * Maximum Weekly Hours: No more than 40 hours per week.
