Calibration Assistant with Security Clearance

Duties * Schedule and coordinate workflow by receiving Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) for calibration and repair IAW the Army Calibration Program. * Perform visual inspection of TMDE received, annotating missing or damaged components and notifying customers of discrepancies. * Enter TMDE received for calibration and/or repair into database and assign work center; assure instrument record data is correct. * Apply knowledge of pertinent regulations, procedures, and instructions applicable to calibration support operations. * Use a computer to update TMDE database. * Assist customers in checking the status of equipment and respond to customer priority changes. Requirements Conditions of Employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. * Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance. * Incumbent may be required to lift moderately heavy objects up to 35 pounds. * This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time. * Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
