Help Duties * You will serve as the Installation Transportation Officer to plan and direct all traffic management functions for the Department in support of Air Force and PACOM requirements. * You will develop, coordinate, and implement peacetime and contingency traffic management plans, programs, policies, procedures, and transportation management system techniques. * You will aide in the preparation and movement of ammunition, equipment, supplies, and vehicles by commercial and military air, motor, and water. * You will serve as the Deployment and Distribution Flight chief to develop operating budget to support deployments of Wing supplies and equipment. * You will plan, organize, and direct the activities of the Ground Transportation Section ensuring customer support complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs. Qualifications Your resume must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-11 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: applying an extensive knowledge of a wide range of Department of Defense (DoD) and Air Force traffic management policies, principles, and practices to plan, manage or direct installation deployment and distribution functions. Examples of specialized experience must include a majority of the following: 1) Develop/execute logistics management, supply, and/or transportation practices to accomplish military and commercial transportation activities, storage and materials handling requirements, preservation, packaging and cargo movement, and material management; 2) Utilize a comprehensive knowledge of airfield safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures; and 3) Lead and/or supervise civilian and military personnel to accomplish organizational objectives utilizing mentorship or motivational techniques.
