Description:
BreakPoint Labs is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to support DoI Cyber Security Operations Support services. This position will be 80% remote, and 20 % on-site at the customer's location in Reston, VA. Therefore, qualified Candidates must live within the Reston, VA area. Responsibilities include: - Cybersecurity Communications/Coordination
- Monitoring and Analysis Support
- Vulnerability Assessment Support
- Incident Assessment and Response Support-Continuously assess and remediate security vulnerabilities for said infrastructure.
- Build, configure, and maintain the infrastructure required by the customer.
- Work with the team to engineer solutions required by the customer with a perspective consistent with cybersecurity compliance. Required Experience: - 5+ years of experience working as a Cybersecurity Engineer
- At least 5 years' experience administering Linux-based operating systems
- At least 2 years' experience administering Windows operating systems
- At least 3 years' experience using and administering VMware vSphere/vROPs/NSX -At least 2 years' experience administering Layer 3 switches
- Familiarity with the use of Ansible and the creation of Ansible Playbooks
- Familiarity with the creation and application of SSL certificates
- Familiarity with the implementation of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
- Experience with architecting, implementing, troubleshooting, and locating problems with enterprise applications
- Ability to effectively communicate technical issues and concepts via email.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems with SQL databases.
- Ability to remediate vulnerabilities on systems and applications. Education Required: An MA/MS degree in a related field is required. Note: an academic degree or certification in a closely related field may be substituted (e.g., Computer Science, Information Security, Information Assurance, etc.) for years of experience and/or Industry recognized professional certification.
