Duties * Projects major project milestones and events necessary to complete the strategic implementation of the acquisition project. * Manage financial aspects and risks for an acquisition program. * Manage contracting activity for an acquisition program. * Brief senior level management, OSD and DA on status of the assigned programs. * Review information support plan (ISP), digital engineering (DE), architecture, and model-based system engineering (MBSE) products for compliance with Government and Industry standards. * Provide training and guidance on MBSE tools and methodologies to enhance project outcomes and team proficiency. * Build, integrate, and optimize complex interoperability systems and services. * Manage a team of system engineers responsible for developing the mapping of information exchanges between military standards. * Perform trade studies to generate and translate conceptual designs into technical specifications, participate in the assessment of prototype interoperability software solutions, and integrate into current architecture. Requirements Conditions of Employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. * Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. * One year trial/probationary period may be required. * You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. * This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. * Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level II PRACTITIONER in the Acquisition Career Field Program Management within 60 months of entrance on duty. * This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time. * This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. * This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance * Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level III ADVANCED in the Acquisition Career Field Program Management within 48 months of entrance on duty. Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: 1. Serving as an Assistant Project Manager or equivalent such as a Portfolio or Program Manager; AND 2. Developing and maintaining architectural models and documentation AND 3) Reviewing information support plan (ISP), digital engineering (DE), architecture, and model-based system engineering (MBSE) products for compliance with Government and Industry standards.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-III (GS-13).
